Book List

  1. Benner, Allen Rogers. Selections from Homer’s Iliad. Norman: University of Oklahoma Press, 2001. ISBN-13: 978-0806133638
  2. Lattimore, Richmond, trans. The Iliad of Homer. Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 2011. ISBN-13: 978-0226470498

Please note that purchasing physical copies of both texts is optional. The Benner text is available for free as a PDF, linked above. The Lattimore translation is simply a suggested translation to use as a guide as you read through the Greek; it is highly faithful to the line numbers and the original language. However, besides Lattimore, there are free (though a bit archaic) translations available online.
